A burn permit allows only clean, natural materials like brush, leaves, and untreated wood to be burned, and prohibits burning trash, construction debris, treated or painted wood, plastics, rubber, or any hazardous materials.
A burn permit is not valid when conditions become unsafe—such as winds exceeding 20 mph, failure to have a charged hose or water source on site, or any situation where the fire cannot be properly controlled or attended.
